1.  Definitions

Definitions of capitalized terms are set forth in Appendix A.

2.  Policy Statement

It is the policy of the University that Raffles are prohibited. Prohibited Raffles include Raffles that are sponsored by any University group or organization, Raffles that benefit any University group or organization, and Raffles that are connected to the University in any way.

Appendix A: Definitions

“Raffle” refers to a raffle as defined by Tex. Occ. Code § 2002.002: “the award of one or more prizes by chance at a single occasion among a single pool or group of persons who have paid or promised a thing of value for a ticket that represents a chance to win a prize.”
